Qualitative is based upon the I.Q level.
I got 33/35 in Qualitative portion of GAT (General) test. There were simple questions of %, Average, Ratio, Addition, Decimal system etc But way of inquiry is always Complex. For preparation we should concentrate on the basics of Mathematics. Best of luck

I will second the thought of Sherry here. From my attempt of 2015 I have seen that EDS paper was mostly up to the level of class 10th ..As I am teaching science also so it was quite easy for me.In the same way general science and ability is all about basics..They do not want the depth of it according to me.For general ability one should have the knowledge of basics and a good i.q level...So play brain games and solve logical and arithmetical puzzles. It will help you a lot.

what you really gotta do is to firstly read out, understand the basics of mathematics such as ratio, proportions, algebra, geometry, simple arthematic, percentage, average, remainders these list sound exhausting but you have to only learn the basic grab a 8th or 9th standard math book you will find good stuff. And the complex part depends upon your analytical learning such as basics and well as your minds intelligence of co-ordinating,mixing and sequencing. I,ve got 34/35 in quantative portion of GAT.

The only method is to practice, practice and just practice. Grab some good book with solutions.

A command over basic maths does not translate into good GRE-type test score by itself. You need to practice the GRE type quantitative to master how to get maximum questions right in as little time as possible. That in turn requires you to know the tricks of the trade and the potential pitfalls.
Anyone who isn't good at maths should not worry either. Just grab a GRE book from the market or an E Book (plenty available online) and start practicing. It's fun and you can learn quite fast. At the same time let me I reiterate that someone who is good at maths should not automatically think they'll ace the exam without practice. They might need to exert much less but should be acquainted with GRE kind quantitative tests. |
