It is intercepting eliminating, I just forgot to put its values. Let me post it again.

x^2+y=9, x^2-y=1

In order to know the value of y, I change the sign of below equation I.e minus into plus and plus into minus:

x^2+y=9
-x^2+y=-1
---------------
0+2y=8

Y=4

But in book, its answer is 5. Please solve it.

This question came in AD FIA.

Wrong answer. Correct answer is 4 under this question. If x^2 - y = -1, then y = 5

Hens=50
Goats=45
Camels=8
Some keepers=x,,......(it means 2x in equation, because a man has two feet)

# of tests=2*50+45*4+8*4+2x+312 ( yaha end me 312 kaha we arahe hen, ye samj nahi arahi, baki problem easy he?

# of heads=50+45+4=103+x.
Total number of heads = 50+45+8+x = 103 + x
Now, (2x+312) = (103+x)+224
=> x = 15
here is the easier way of solution

# of feet
2*50=100
4*45 = 180
4*8 = 32

which is 100+180+32= 312 feet

# of head
50+45+8 = 103

difference between feet and head = 312-103 = 209
they said 224 more hon so if we had 15 keepers then head becomes 103+15= 118 and feet become 312+30= 352

352-118 = 224

answer is 26.66 km which is closer to 27
90 minutes = 120 km
it means 1.33 km in one minute
1.33 * 20 = 26.66 km

14 persons earn amount = 400
1 person earns amount = 400/14 = 200/7
Lets suppose x Person earn 600

Then 1 person earns: 600/x = 200/7

Cross multiplying gives: 600/200 = x/7 ----> x = 7 * 3 = 21

---------------------------------------------------------------------

6 people build wall in 16 days
1 person will build wall in = 16 * 6 = 96 days
8 person will build same wall in = 96/8 = 12 days

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Height of wall built by 4 masons in 4 hours = 4 ft
Height of wall built by 4 masons in 1 hours = 4 ft/4 = 1 ft
Height of wall built by 1 masons in 1 hours = 1/4 ft

----------------------------------------------------------------------

These were quite simple questions By the way

Questions in FPSC are always easy but some times tricky ones. That's why in FPSC the cutt off of general posts I.e. Ad FIA, IB goes to 90 plus. Even a single question matters a lot. Now in CSS, EDS quick math & ability have become an important thing. So we have to cover and practice things in a way so that nothing can be missed in the exam. Questions in next papers of past papers are also going to be omplex so we will have to consider all questions to be equalized . So please stay in touch, will be posting our questions on daily basis to practice well. Abvously quick math is all about practice and I found you extremely well in it. Thank you so much
