FPSC latest announcement

Hi! can any 1 confirm dis news. I've found it on another forum but not sure bout it.
Finally FPSC came with its recent decision to shed the clouds hovering over the status of Medium of Instruction for Islamic Studies and more importantly over the “combined score” of General Knowledge Papers. Today FPSC’s working body has underlined 3 major decisions, two of which are almost exuberantly cheerful and heart shaking.

1. Both Urdu and English are allowed as a Medium of instruction for Islamic Studies.
2. Candidates who score minimum 120 marks in all the 3 subjects of General Knowledge viz. (i) General Science and Ability (ii) Current Affairs (iii) Pakistan Affairs, will be considered qualified.

For Non-Muslim Candidates
3. In its recent decision, FPSC has limited the Non-Muslim candidates to only go for Comparative study of Major Religions.

A word from FPSC ??

Still waiting for the words from FPSC. The source being discussed and shared is somewhat vague. Like it is written 'Medium of Instruction' as if we have to teach and not to give exams

Confused!

Why would any of the news make a difference?
If you are attempting all subjects in English then you might as well attempt Islamiat too.
And, with all due respect, why would a person who can't even score 40 marks in these subjects aspire to be a CSP?

oh i have an idea then. let us write to FPSC and request them to make the selection procedure a little tougher, say raising the benchmark to 60 from 40 marks, as we have extraordinary brilliant candidates this time just like yourself.

P.S: only 98% of the total candidates managed to fail themselves in last CSS exam even though they had not to secure 40 marks each in GK1,2 and 3.

See the result of topper and 2nd position holder of CE-2014 both have below 40 marks in current affairs. even most of the allocated candidates of ce-2014 have below 40 marks in current affairs.

I think have problem with almost everything going on here; probably overexcited with the whole "CSS thing". Calm down a bit

Please lower down your tone and concentrate on helping rather than criticizing others. I usually have to trash your posts for same reason.

Call the FPSC and ask them to make some separate papers (just for you) and request them to raise minimum passing marks to 60 or 80 % and tell them that you are brilliant enough and can pass easily
