Default Revised syllabus of 2016

Asslam o alikum

I am appearing in CSS exams for the first time. Kindly guide me that the books which are recommended by majority of students and forums i.e. Sociology by Horton and Hunt , Trek to Pakistan (for pre-partition)
Ikram Rabbani and newspapers (for post partition), Islami nazariya hayat by Prof. Khursheed Ahmed, Public Administration by Dr. sultan are still best books for CE 2016 as syllabus has been changed and various new topics has been added. Preparation of all compulsory and optional subjects can be done by the same books which were used by previous students in CSS 2015 and CSS 2014.

Best,
Sadaf

You don't have to rely on traditional books. Try to develop your general approach by reading different magazines for ca and pa.

Yeah, these books are still very helpful. However, you should use any other book from the recommended books of FPSC along with online sources. Go from topic to topic and cover the whole syllabus this way.
