well i have certain question in my mind plz answer me but with the reference of Quranic ayat or hadith

like it is said and we all may know that a woman cannot be the IMAM....she can not lead the group of namazis as an imam does.

is there any thing in sharyiat that a woman cannot be the qazi/judge.
and can a woman not be the ruler of a nation???
is there any thing,in sharyiat,like this please reply me with authentic reference.

1. If we look back into early Muslim history, there is no instance of a woman leading congregational prayer in a mosque. If it was allowed in Islam, we would have a precedent to follow.
2. A woman can be a judge and there is no bar placed on her to sit as a judge.
3. As for a woman to acquire the status of a ruler, there is a hadith that a national cant prosper if it has a woman as a ruler. However, it doesnt imply that a woman cant vote and run for a public office at a lower level.

To elaborate further the point whether a woman can be a judge, we should keep into the mind that a woman inclines more towards emotional side of the matter in question. As a fact of law requires sheer use of reason, it is MORE in the interest of justice that a man should act as a judge.

@ A lady as a ruler of a nation:
Accordings to Ahadith, one of the signs of Dooms Day is that females would rule the nations. It simply points out that though it is allowed in Islam, but it is not a liked act. The reason behind this is, if a woman fills the top office, she has alot of interaction with males which is a distasteful act in Islam.

It is not permissible for a woman to lead men in prayer.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

[B]“Keep women behind [in the back rows] as Allaah has commanded.”
[I](Narrated by ‘Abd al-Razzaaq in his Musannaf, 5115)[/I]. [/B]
[B][SIZE="1"][COLOR="Blue"][I]The isnaad stops at Ibn Mas’ood with a longer report than this; the isnaad is saheeh but it is not proven that this was said by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)). [/I][/COLOR][/SIZE][/B]

Moreover, the position of imaam in the mosque is a kind of wilaayah [public office], and wilaayah is only for men.

[B][U]2. WOMAN LEADER[/U][/B]

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

[B]“No nation prospers that appoints a woman over its affairs [wilaayah]”
[I](narrated by al-Bukhaari, 13/45, 46)[/I][/B]

The consensus of the scholars is that it is not permissible for a woman to be the head of an Islamic state or to hold a position of top leadership.
This is what is stated in the Book of Allaah (interpretation of the meaning):

[B][I]“Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allâh has made one of them to excel the other”
[I][al-Nisa’ 4:34][/I][/I][/B]

The general applicability of this aayah indicates that the position of qiwaamah (being a protector and maintainer) belongs to men in relation to women. As a woman does not have authority over her husband in the home, it is more appropriate that she should not have authority over any other men.

In the Sunnah, there is the hadeeth narrated by Abu Bakrah who said: when the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) heard that the people of Persia had made the daughter of Chosroes their queen, he said:

[B]“No people will ever prosper who place a woman in authority over them.” [I](Narrated by al-Bukhaari in al-Saheeh and by Ahmad and others[/I]).[/B]

This clearly states that women are not qualified to hold the position of monarch or governor or any position of public authority, and it is not permissible for her people to appoint her to such a position, because it is a duty on society to avoid anything that could lead to not succeeding, as the scholars said.

Moreover, the fact that women have stronger emotions and more intense feelings than men, and men are stronger and more solid, and have more patience, and are in a position to devote their time to running the affairs of society, tips the balance in favour of men in this regard. This further strengthens our conviction that what Allaah has prescribed is the ultimate wisdom, is in the best interests of society and is a mercy to all people.
If a woman joins these councils, this entails her mixing with and sitting with men, perhaps for long periods of time, and speaking with them, with her looking at them and them looking at her. All of this has been forbidden by Allaah in His Book and by His Messenger in his Sunnah.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

[B]“And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance”
