Do we have to quote with chapter and verse?
Hi,
Do examiners require or prefer chapter and verse numbers for Quranic verses, or the original source for Hadith? Or would it be enough to write an accurate quote in English? I know this looks trivial but I would like to make sure I don't lose marks for something careless. Thank you! |

I secured 95% marks in OLevels Islamiat without knowing chapter or source of the quranic verse or hadis. I hope its not important in CSS. If it is, I don't have time to reember them anyways.
I think what matters is that you know the relevant quotes and use them in the right places to justify your point. It is the content that should matter, not your knowledge of in which chapter this verse is located.
