Despite browsing the internet articles, I could not find any relevant one regarding the contemporary issues faced by the Muslim ummah in 2020.

How to prepare for this topic and what type of questions can be asked in the upcoming paper?

Arab-Israel increasing closeness and Turkey, Iran, Malaysia Block
Yemen conflict
Palestine problem
Myanamar genocide
Turkey+Libya vs. Egypt+Greece+France (over Eastern Mediterranian Sea)

Disrespecting of Qur'an in Norway etc.
Refugees from Syria and Levant to EU

Pls mention resource to study these in detail.

Google all these topics. You will have to use various newspapers like Al Jazeera, Dawn etc. Also watch YouTube videos. There are tons of News content on YouTube these days. Another interesting topic is [I]various brands proclaiming their products are not [U]Halal![/U][/I]

Then make notes of all these topics so you can revise them easily at a later time. You should also study Jahangir World Times Magazine, ICEP magazine etc.

It's a very interesting topic. Having a comprehensive knowledge of the given topic serves no purpose until attempted systematically. In spite of the fact that you will gather whole information on the topic using several sources not only a single recommended book.
As far as the questions on this topic are concerned, there may be questions on the comparison of the current and past condition of the Muslim Ummah, Ways to regain the past glory, Factors of the demise of Muslim Ummah, Solutions to the Current problem, Role of Intellectuals, Effective Leadership for The Muslim Ummah, and so and so forth.
