Yar i think attempting it in Urdu or English doesnt matter and what really worthy is that what u write and how u present it. Attempting any paper in CSS requires excellent and efficient writing skills because normally people have enough information and materials about an issue but due to weak writing skills they are unable to express their ideas in a lucid way. In CSS, in any subject one should expect any sort of questions and if u study the 2009 papers specially Islamiat then it would be crystal clear to you. What CSS requires is a full package person who can write on any issue. In your field (i.e computer science) we call it a real-time processor , i hope u got it .

regards

Default Islamiat 2009

this year islamiat paper was outstanding. The paper was specially set to check the creative and anylytical abilities of the candidates. This kind of paper discourages cramming and stresses on critical thinking.

Default some important sources for islamiat

Hello every one..... the Islamiat paper of 2009 was no doubt completely different for the pat papers. this kind of paper can not be attempted by just cramming and memorising. It needs extensive study. The analytical and intellectual abilities of a person is also very important for attempting this kind of paper. I will suggest some TV programmes to get the idea. I watched these programmes and with the Grace of Allah my Islamiat paper was very great. these programmes are AGHAAZ on ARY NEWS and ALIF on Geo News. i hope that it will be helpful to all of you.

Cool

Such kind of papers seem easy while sitting @ home. But once you are in the examination hall and it is very difficult to cope with a sudden change of pattern at that moment. It was true about most of the papers in 2009. Particularly about Islamiyat, the questions seem easy but when you read the statements carefully they do not remain so simple. You really have to think out of box in certain questions to extend your answer.

@ Attempting in English or Urdu

I had prepared islamiyat in urdu and so attempted it in Urdu. But, after the paper i thought i better had attempted it in english because i could have more conveniently expressed my views in english owing to the nature of questions.

Since we prepare a lot of english and loads of current affairs, islamic as well as general, so i recommend attempting such a paper in English.

But i would like to comment on the format of paper.... If such papers are to be set then there should be no course outline mentioned and no books recommended. I really felt bad because all i had prepared for this paper had gone into dustbin. In other words, i simply wasted my time preparing that material.

Default

r.i.p is right

in this paper all our time used to prepare it was a complete waste
but my brother dont worry God will reward us always for our hardwork
dont bother these alif baye peh programs

i too cant understand that from where should i start my paper

and i started writing after 20 mins

but all my preperations were gone to drain at that time

one more thing i should add here

all that we prepared was already mentioned in the question

only pray to God he will do something good for us

i think the people who talk about the easiness of the paper have really prepared it well
so they are happy that they are in the same level in this paper as we are
and not because they prepared it the way the paper is

Thumbs up

thanx sajjadali350
i completely agree with you

Now the million dollar question is that "Will CE-2010 paper be set on the same lines or changed back to that of CE-2008 paper?"

To be on the safe side you have give double time to islamiyat
Prepare for CE-2009 pattern by enhancing your analytical skills and preparing lot more of Current Affairs , watching Islamic programs and whatever you can do.
Secondly, prepare for CE-2008 pattern by cramming (whatever you want to say it). Personally i dont believe that CE-2008 paper could be solved by cramming. It also demanded your analytical skill but ofcourse from the topics you had studied.

Default @ r.i.p

yes we have to prepare for both
we dont have any option for that

but i think this time if we have to appear owing to bad css 2009 result we will be in a stronger position for tackling any kind of paper

but hope that we have good result in 2009 and not have to repeat the exams

so brother please remember me in ur prayers

take care
and wish u a best of luck this time
