How to mention sources of Ayaths and Hadiths?

ur post is very useful but kindly tell me how did u quoted the verses by giving an example...... also share the islamiyat book in english which u consulted for material/verses/translation etc

The way of quoting verses and Hadith which I learnt from Csps is:

for example

Economic rights of women
Woman inherits a specified share in the property of her deceased parents as well as her spouse. She can own business, money, property whether single or married. She also can dispose of her own property as in The Glorious Quran says:
" And women share have a portion what the parents and near relatives leave"
(Al-Nisa : verse 7)

thanks dr.janxeb but u didnt mention the source for Ayat n Hadith ....... as i have a book Islam at Glance by: S.D Islahi but quoting the verses style is different in that book so i need to know a source for that.

could you tell me if we don't give the refference of Ayats i.e the numbers like (8:29) etc, and won't write in Arabic,would it affect?

there is no need to remember the whole reference of Hadith. You can directly quote it as

The Holy Prophet said,
"Paradise lies beneath the feet of mother."

about quoting verse, you can also quote it directly if you forget the surah name and verse number.
e.g:

The Holy Quran says:
"Self-defence is no offence."

Remember
it is better to give the surah name and number.

Apart from S.D Islahi, Islam At Crescent is a good book for ayat and hadith source.

actually um not an authority to comment wether certain thingz can or cannot effect.. i only try to share ma humble opinion or knowledge if i posses any. hope u understand ma point.

now as far as ur question iz concerned i believe that if one can memorize the reference like (8:29). he/she can also remeber the name of the surah instead ov writin a digit. wut do u say? um mean its not dat difficult. and it looks gud. isnt it?

similarly css exam iz only about presentin differently or in a unique mannner that makes u stand out from the crowd. so if u write the verse in arabic wid bluce marker and then give its translation as well with the name ov the surah and the verse number.. obviously the impact is goin to make a positive influence on the examiner.

that is wut i think in the light ov ma expereince. but i again say wuteva i say z a suggestion or jus a simple sharin ov knowledge or experience.the final formulation of strategy rests wid u.
