Study Plan of Islamiyat

1 Attachment(s)
Hello aspirants,

This has been my strategy to prepare a study plan before studying any subject. I have uploaded study plans of my optional subjects and two compulsory subjects in their relevant threads. Let me briefly tell you what this plan contains and what is its basis.

Study Plan is actually an in-depth analysis of Past papers of the subject. Based on these, the subject has been divided into areas which are recurring and most important from the examination point of view. Thus, if you keep this Study Plan before you, it may obviate the need for referring to subjective part of the past papers as it contains all questions from 2000 onwards. However, for objective part (MCQs), you will have to refer to past papers for solving them.

I reiterate here that its my own analysis and it has so far proved very helpful in my preparation. The only purpose behind sharing it is helping out other aspirants in whatever capacity I can.

Disclaimer: This is neither a guess paper nor does it guarantee any crown. However, it is of tremendous help in identifying the areas from where the paper is usually set.
Asa`which book you suggest for islamiat in english
So far I have not come across a book that may cover entire syllabus of Islamiyat from CSS point of view (one may disagree). Still, for the sake of making a ground and basic know-how, "Islami Zaabita-e-Hayyat" by Khursheed Ahmed is one of the most suitable books. If you are opting in English, then read a book "Islamic Ideology" by Anwar Hashmi
. Further, substantiate it from various online resources and/or some comprehensive notes on current issues. Dawn's Friday feature (selected articles) should help you in this regard.

1. Does this study plans covers the whole syllabus?
This study plan covers that syllabus which one may find in past papers. To me, past papers are the best guide as they tell you what is being asked in the examination. And, this study plan is based on past papers.
@ redmax

can you plz help me in finding these topics in urdu. I have read Islami Nazariya-e-Hayat but Ijtehad and Jihad are not present in detail in this book, rest of the topics are completely missing.

1. Role/Duties and rights of women in Islam and other religions of the world.
2. Islamic Judicial System
3. Ijma, Qiyas and Ijtihad
4. Istehsaan, Masalih-e-Mursala and Urf
5. Difference b/w Jihad and Terrorism
Since I am myself studying Islamiyat in English, I feel little odd to suggest you any books in Urdu which I have not referred.
The one you have mentioned is most recommended by teachers of this subject as well as included in FPSC syllabus. For specific topics mentioned above, I would advise you to make use of lectures of prominent scholars like Dr. Zakir Naik, Taqi Usmani, and many others. These are easily accessible in CDs & DVDs, as well as available on internet at various sites that include www.irf.org, and popular www.youtube.com.

Beside this, I hope many seniors on this forum, who attempted this paper in Urdu, would soon give you names of other books which shall cover these topics in detail. :)

Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply........ bro to design study pln for I.R as u hve done fr Islamiat, Journlsm etc....

Also recommend books.... plz

Regards....
Malik Iqbal...............
For making a study plan, I used past papers as the only raw material. It's quite simple and you can use the already available study plans as the model ones.

I.R was not my subject therefore I cannot recommend any book about it. Please post the query about I.R in its relevant thread and someone will surely help you out.

Good Luck!
