1)Advanced Concepts in Islamic Studies by Imtiaz Shahid
2)Islamiat By Farkhanda Noor (The O Levels book)

I also have notes of Officers Academy but they are depressingly, illegible

My questions are

1)Are these books sufficient for preparation? If not, please recommend some
2)Please also recommend any book/other source for MCQs of Islamiat
3)Please guide on how to attempt the question and what style should one adopt. What should be the main crux of our answers and what sort of supporting material we can use to get maximum marks.

Apart from this, I would also highly appreciate any other tips etc.

THanks!
Examiners check your opinion and knowledge in each question therefore, you need to have command on all topics of islamiat. For that purpose, you need to memorize several verses of Holy Quran as well as hadiths to let the examiner know that you have complete knowledge about the topics. Because, now examiner ask general questions to check your knowledge. Any specific book will not work now. Your general concept about everything must be clear.

Moreover, you will be required to answer specifically about the questions you are asked. Irrelevant answer will not work. As far as books/notes are concerned, you can go through any book or notes, it does not matter. Your concept must be clear and you must prove your statement with versus of Holy Quran, Ahadith and some examples from history. This way you can get good marks in Islmiat.

I think in upcoming papers role of media in accordance with Islamic point of view will must be asked. So you can not find this question in books. You can answer only if your basic concept about Islam is clear.

Default Your opinion?

Dear Friends

I'm new in CSS exams preparation. I'm studying "Islami Nazria-e-Hayat" by Sir Khursheed Ahmed.

Is it an effective book regarding Islamyat syllabus covering?

Thanks for your sincere response.

NO i haven't done css. But i am preparing for it. I have plans of opting islamiat in english. No doubt in matric, fsc i have studied islamiat in urdu ,but now as for preparing in css i am trying to improve my english so decided to opt it in english. A little more effort is required and nothing more.

The books i am following are:
Islam, Its meaning & message (Khurshid Ahmed)
Islamiat by Farkhanda Noor
Dogar's Islamiat for objective part
Friday Dawn Features

For taking islamiat in urdu check the links below they may be helpful for you.
