No need for books
In my personal experience, there is no need for any book whatsoever when it comes to preparation for Islamiat. The Friday Dawn Features [posted right here on the forum] are more than sufficient [they also have Ayah's and Ahadith]- At the end of the day [excluding MCQs] your Islamiat notes may not be more than 10 pages [2x10 sides]

I have just completed masters in Islamic studies n Dis vl be my first attempt for css.. bro if u want to get 60 to 70 marx in islamic studies paper u should attempt question with reference of Verses n Ahadith n specially Arabic texts...

 i have a confusion regarding verses of Holy Quran... one should write the translation of verses ?? OR we are liable to write arabic??

Looking at the question paper of CSS 2014, I feel like the questions are designed to probe your religious beliefs, ideals and mindset, instead of knowing your knowledge about more typical syllabus of Islamiyat. Namaz, Roza, Zakat, Hajj, etc....

I got 63 in this attempt with hardly any mcq correct. I attempted the paper in English and I had no references to quote in the form of Ahadith and Ayah . One question, I remember starting it by quoting Neitzhe's 'God is dead'. In one question I made reference to Karl Marx and don't remember exactly how I attempted the rest of the questions.
