Most of the modern societies of the world today ascribe terrorism to Islam. Are they wrong?

In attempts to answer this question, Muslim scholars have written voulmes, especially after religiously motivated attacks of 9/11, to prove that terrorism can not be justified under any interpretation of Quran and Sunnah and those who think so are in a mindset of either suspicion or ignorance.

However, even a mountain of words and doctrines and principles and ideologies can not crush even an insect of reality. Extremist Muslims of our society, --- and most of the Muslims are extremist in our society---, they are now threatening everyone of nothing less but death penalty for doing anything which they consider a sin.

A serious problem is that these extremists seriously believe in righteousness of their actions. And even more serious is the issue that there is a general acceptance for religious extremism in our society. Pakistani Muslims in general have a soft corner for Talibaan, Alqaeda, suicide bombers and for Mullahs believing in orthodox imperialism and Qadris and "quwat-e-ishq-say-her-pasat-ko-bala-kar-day kind of ideology" and so on.

What is the problem with Muslims? In search for the answer, I found this book, a must read. One may also find this book helpful in the preparation of CSS Islamiat paper according to new pattern.
