Default How long ago did Adam(a.s) live?
From different sources I have learnt that Adam(a.s) lived around 4000-8000BC.
On the contrary science says,"Primitive humans inhabited earth some 10Million years ago,passing through different developmental phases they attained present form some 4million years ago".

So I can't make up my mind.Does anybody have any idea ,as to how long ago did Adam(a.s) live?

Its around 6000-7000 yrs (from present) approximately according to different sources and accounts. Men ne aik dafa kaheen kisi ka likha parha tha ke Adam A.S pehlay insan (ba-seerat e insan) thay jabke insan (ba-soorat e insan) us se bohat pehlay se mojood tha... which convinces me! Rest, Allah knows best.

Please could you quote any authentic source, for information, because I couldn't find any such thing.

Yes Bro,I looked for the answer all day long,but all I could find are some scientists' speculations or research maybe.Here are some writings that try to prove that Adam(a.s) lived around 60000-90000 years ago.

One thing is for sure, we are definitely older than 6000 BC years, this one is an absurd figure directly coming from Bible (Old Testament).
