Methinks, medium of language matters little in securing good or bad marks in Islamic Studies.
Secondly, it is you who can better decide whether to opt it in Urdu or English. Just follow a simple formula that in which medium you can write or attempt the questions in the best way. If you feel that you can write in Urdu in the better way, go for it. Otherwise, English will be the better choice. The decision is yours!

I second you. Yes, this was the point that I wanted to convey. Actually, we, most of us, feel comfortable in writing English just because we haven't been connected to write in Urdu at a higher level of our education. Same is the case with me and with many others too. I attempted PMS Islamiat paper in English and it was mostly based on current affairs topics-like. It was easy to write fluently and put the thoughts/points on the paper. Stay Blessed!
