Verses in Islamiat paper !!
 

In every heading of every topic, 2 or 2 verses or ahadith texts are given in books and notes. And we are supposed to prepare more or less 15 questions. Now the question is how can we remember or cram the verses, keeping in a view a peculiar English used in it. Besides, the exact number of verse and chapter adds more salt to the difficulty. It is not possible to remember every verse word to word, even a hafiz can not do so.
Can we just write the verses without quoting it ? :cow:confused:

Siknadar bhai, i also faced that difficulty... so decided not to worry about cramming ayat and hadith... i think we can pass and even score 50+ without quoting ayats and hadiths...

Edit the topic. Do not use the word 'nuisance' here in any context. So, exercise caution with the words you choose, my brother.

It is not the rule of thumb that quoting Ayahs and Ahadith will result in the increase of marks. One can very well score 65+ without quoting any reference. If you're good at poetry, you can do yourself some good by quoting Iqbal's ashaar (do not give the translation, it's fine). However, if you are able to bolster your argument with any Quranic or narration of the Holy Prophet [Peace be Upon Him], it is only akin to adding jewels to an already shining crown.

Remember your argumentation and analytical reasoning holds sway in fetching you high marks. However, for optional subjects, the ball game is different altogether.

Brother it is very simple, just note down what Ayat and Ahadeeth you need to memorize for different topics. Then Read them in Arabic, their translation in Urdu/English and their Tafseer etc bit by bit daily. This way, not only you will miraculously be able to quote these in your paper, very soon you will come to know that you also have acquired a very fine knowledge of Islam. You will come to know you can answer unseen questions confidently, and many Ayats can be quoted for multiple topics in different contexts.

I think you ought to edit the topic, you can use "verses, a difficulty" or anything else; I know your intention might not have been such, but you appear to be disrespectful towards holy verses by putting the word "nuisance" there, which has an altogether, extremely negative connotation/meaning to it.

You have raised a good point. But quoting verses and hadith adds to more weightage of the topic and can win more marks. As we are to quote relevant verse and hadith for each topic. The common method to quote a verse or hadith is: The Holy Quran says: "----------" and write the translation of the relevant verse, (without cramming the para, sura & the verse number) and similar for hadith.
Quoting verses this way is better than not, and it will add value to your topic.
