thanks in advance.
1- Pakistan the formative phase ( for pre partition )
For better understanding of this book you should also consult Aahb e kausar in Urdu by sheikh Mohammad Ikram
2- Constitutional and political history of Pakistan (for post partition ) by Hamid khan .
Hope these will facilitate you. Regards

But of you are not satisfied, you can read "Rethinking Pakistan Affairs" by Saeed Ahmad Butt... Have also heard about a book by IH Qureshi and "Idea Of Pakistan" by Stephen Cohen.. Haven't read these two books but they carry a good word of mouth by CSPs..

Dear PAKISTAN MOVEMENT is out of syllabus now. So TREK TO PAKISTAN is not a must read book.

I have my own notes prepared by a previous css examiner
But as far as books are concerned one always need book for every paper if one do not have notes ( level waly)
In my second attempt I used the above mentioned notes plus books plus daily dawn (it helped me a lot)
Books Name
1: A concise history of Pakistan by Kazimi
2: Shehzad server
3: Ikram Rabbani
4: Imtiaz shahid

In my first attempt I secures 49 marks by these books only.
now lets see how much marks I will secure in this attempt

Good luck
do pray for me too ..

Well i would suggest to use it in December just for important topics only as it contains articles of different authors .one thing that is a bit not ookkk that is its varying way of expression there are more than one author's publicaitons
