Pakistan affairs by Ikram Rabbani
Pakistan - A study in Nationalism by K.K. Aziz

These 2 books are more than enough. Actually, only one that of Mr. Ikram Rabbani's is enough. Because it is specifically written keeping in view the requirements of this paper of CSS.

Secondly, Pakistan Affairs paper has now become a subject like that of Current Affairs because at least 2 or 3 questions are asked always in contemporary scenario so reading Dawn daily, making your own notes and forming your own point of views are more important now.

P.S. My point of view. One can disagree with that.

Yours sincerely

Must read:
●Trek to Pakistan
●Pakistan beyond a crisis state (Maleeha Lodhi)
●Pakistan Foreign Policy (Shahid M. Amin)
If you crave more reading then:
■ Pakistan and world affairs (Shamshad Ahmad)
■ Pakistan Affairs Paradigms (Imtiaz Shahid)

Whats about of
Oxford press ki history of Pakistan.

Have heard of them for the first time.. most of CSPs recommend the above mentioned books and i have found them quite useful.. trek to pakistan is best book for pre-partition era and for post-partition, u can read any book u want along with dawn..

Some topics are missing in trek to Pakistan, syllabus has been changed, brother.

No matter how many times syllabus changes, freedom movement will still remain the same and "trek to pakistan" covers it from almost all aspects..

But of you are not satisfied, you can read "Rethinking Pakistan Affairs" by Saeed Ahmad Butt... Have also heard about a book by IH Qureshi and "Idea Of Pakistan" by Stephen Cohen.. Haven't read these two books but they carry a good word of mouth by CSPs..
