Provincial Assembly of KPK

I am a little bit confused.. kindly answer my question if possible..
According to LFO of 1970 there were 42 seats in the Provincial Assembly of the then NWFP and through election of 1970 42 seats assembly was elected.. when the constitution of 1973 was promulgated there the seats for the said provincial assembly was fixed as 85.. so my question is wether there was any by-election after the promulgation of 1973 constitution to fulfill the seats or there was any other arrangements??

The question is not only about Kpk assembly. What about other assemblies as well?? Kindly reply or suggest some sources where the answer could be found
