As per new syllabus, most of the portion is from the post-partition era. Pre-partition consist of only one topic that is "Ideology of Pakistan" for which you can consult any adequate book. However, for post-parition I will suggest you to consult "Political and Constitutional History of Pakistan" by Hamid Khan. I have found it quality book greatly.

i think to the point books are not much useful .we can use them as our third book but not second as knowledge is to the point.

The best book for P.A i got to know is Hamid Khan book political and constitutional history.
Kindly suggest what other book we should consult with this.
Trek to Pakistan or
Shamshad Ahmed :Pak and world affairs

thanks

People in this forum and a CSP officer who is teaching in an academy also recommended this book of hamid khan. I have bought its 2nd addition. But I am unable to understand how it is related to PA syllabus.. Its covering the syllabus of History of India and Pakistan but for P.A maybe a topic or so.
