CRACKING Pakistan Affairs

Seriously guys!
I don't know how to crack this paper while preparing for CE 2020...
As per new syllabus, which book shall you recommend to cover most aspects???

I mostly referred to Pakistan Studies by M. Ikram Rabbani for my preparation and I enjoyed attempting the paper in CE-2019. Some of the Pakistan Affairs questions tend to overlap with topics one already prepares for Current affairs and Essay. Most of the relevant pre-partition history as well as past foreign policy is covered sufficiently in this book. The MCQs tend to repeat so going over past papers helped but in all honesty most of the CSS MCQs are the most random pieces of trivia I have ever encountered.

There are plenty of good books on Pakistan Affairs. I preferred Trek to Pakistan, Pakistan Studies by M. Ikram Rabbani and lectures from different YouTube channels (Pakistan Study lectures by Dr Hasssan Askari Rizvi on VU page). Read at least one book on Pakistan by any author (e.g; Pakistan is a Hard Country by by Anatol Lieven and Pakistan in the Twentieth Century by Lawrence Ziring). Try different sources for preparation. One thing you must not do is rely on others' notes. I've always believed in spending quality time on preparing my own notes and have scored 55+ in Pakistan Studies twice. Believe in yourself and never look back.

Think it's simple, then you can crack.

But don't think you have enough knowledge to crack. Keep study
