Pakistan Paradox by Christophe Jaffrelot
I have recently started reading Pakistan Paradox and it has really good analysis on many Pakistan Affairs topics and it is very detailed. I have never heard anyone recommending this book. Why is that so? Some books like why nations fail are over rated, but a book like this is ignored.
So I will recommend everyone to give this book a read. |

Jazakallah for the sincere advice. Would you like to share some excerpts of the "good" accounts on Pak current affairs therein?

Since we're making recommendations, I'll pitch in as well. This is a very nice book on pre-partition history with unbiased and CSS-style analysis. One can easily replicate this material in exams. A very handy, but more importantly, fun to read book.
Title: Pakistan, the formative phase 1857-1948 by Khalid bin Sayeed (OUP) And yes it's 1948. Not 47 A good book for those who, like me, struggle with studying (otherwise dry) poorly written history books. Sent from my XT1058 using Tapatalk
