Who was first foreign minister of Pak?
 

Salam All .
There is a confusion about who was exactly first foreign minister of Pakistan? Liaqat Ali Khan ? or Sir Zafar ullah?
As per Ministry of Foreign affairs website sir zaffar ullah was first foreign minister starting from December 1947, but before him liaqat ali holds the portfolio of foreign minister. Please Suggest the correct Answer. Jazak Allah :)

Liaqat Ali khan remained Foreign Minister 15 August 1947 to 27 December 1947 and Zafarullah Khan remained 27 December 1947 to 24 October 1954.

It is Muhammad Zafarullah Khan .

Dear thanks. Then why ministry of foreign affairs has sir zafarullah as first foriegn minister on there site? Most of the books also suggest Zaffar ullah khan as first foreign minister also.

I don’t know, why Foreign Ministry of Pakistan didn’t update. I read at the Wikipedia as well as watched on the YouTube, where is Liaquat Ali Khan the first foreign minister.

Any one else, please confirm above question?

Though Liaqat Ali Khan was in actual the first foreign minister of Pakistan, it was during an interim government, that's why not considered as the first foreign minister. He also held important portfolios of defence and minister of commonwealth and kashmir affairs.

why to update when it is just and deliberate. Sir Zafar Ullah Khan is the first FM of Pakistan

Foreign ministry of Pakistan is an authority here over this issue . So , we must go with what they say ,that is , Zafrullah Khan.
If you see wikipedia page of Zafrullah Khan , he is the first foreign minister of pakistan,and Liaquat Ali khan is regarded as First primeminister of Pakistan. Though he had portfolio of foreign ministry under his control, but officially Zafarullah khan is regarded as the first foreign minister of Pakistan ,as per MOFA.
It's a strange thing that you have noticed , because interim government ended on 14 august and Liaquat Ali khan took charge of Prime minister and foreign office on 15th of August , but he is not regarded as first foreign minister,maybe due to his position as a first primeminister,because once Nawaz Sharif also had MOFA under his control,without having any foreign minister ,then sartaj aziz became advisor after some time. Nawaz Sharif's name is not shown as a foreign minister too, at wikipedia and MOFA but sartaj aziz's name is there. So , we come to a conclusion that Liaquat Ali khan was a first prime minister,though he had a direct charge of foreign ministry under him,without having any foreign minister that time,this is why Zafarullah khan is regarded as first foreign minister of Pakistan.
