Dear Altaf sir,

Needed to enquire something. I started my preparation roughly around 2 weeks back and say got 7 months left but still confused about which books I should read. So far, I started with A concise history of Pakistan by Kazmi sb. which explains about 1200 era to some extent and the sufis but the struggle for Pakistan I.H.Qureshi that book is quite precise/simplified or have i bought some other version. He showed me two, one was the simpler and the other was huge and had 4 volumes. Actually, I am looking for something details to give some quotations and etc.

Plus, I also wanted to know. What strategy would you recommend me to follow. Like, should I have a quick go through of one of the book first and then make notes or start doing it from the day one, topic by topic as highlighted by you in your study plan?

Everything apart, I liked your study plan and will most like updating yours and will strictly adhere to it.

Thank you

If you're keen about reading details otherwise unnecessary for getting through this exam, read Constitutional & Political History of Pakistan by Hamid Khan. If you want to stick to basics and save time, adhere to Ikram Rabbani's book.

Make short notes aka bullet notes. Lengthy notes won't help much. Do this in the second reading, in the first reading just highlight/underline main ideas/facts etc.

Good Luck!

Regards,

Your Plan is excellent we are following this.

Books on IndoPak History by K. ALI & Sohail Bhatti. Your answer should minimum be of 4 pages. Maximum as you like.

Assalam alykum sir,

i need your opinion. given the time left for next attempt i.e. 5 months approximately. what do you suggest about one's preparation approach, whether one should do a thorough study of the whole syllabus and make bullet notes? or consult past papers and prepare selective material only?

which is the best among these two options? if you have any other idea please share. thank you.

It's relative. For me, the past papers did the job. For you, it may or may not. Choice is yours. I believe what not to study is equally important during the prep. It saved my time & kept me focused. I'm not recommending any shortcut but smart work. Again, your choice, your decision.
