Please advise: Is that enough, what is given in the book or should I study it from other sources?
@Malik Ubaidullah
Trek to Pakistan comprehensively covers pre-partition part but Ikram Rabbani's book does not cover the better post- partition part, so consult a good comprehensive book Constitutional and Political History of Pakistan by Hamid Khan alongwith newspaper and Internet material.

Dear sir,
'Trek to pakistan' (available in both urdu and english), is a very nice book! especially for covering MCQs
Trend being followed now-adays, In pak.affairs paper!
I would suggest it as a must read book!

Thanks and regards!

This is what I got from this thread:
Ø Trek to Pakistan (for pre-partition) by Ahmad Saeed
Ø Ikram Rabbani and newspapers (for post partition)
Ø Military and Politics in Pakistan by Dr. Hassan Askari Rizvi
Ø Pakistan's Foreign Policy : A Reprisal by Shahid M. Ameen. (for foreign policy)
Ø Formative phases of pakistan of KB saeed (For critical Analysis)
Ø Making of Pakistan by K K Aziz & struggle for Pakistan by I H Qureshi (For references and quotes)
Ø Constitutional and Political History of Pakistan by Hamid Khan

The Press Review is also quite helpful for this purpose.
