CSS 2020 Written Resuly expectation
 

I was wondering if anyone has an idea regarding the expected date of the result? I heard it is around October is that correct?

Secondly, I wanted to know what the process is once you get result. For example, if your name comes on the qualified list, when is the next psychological interview scheduled???
Is there some time gap or is it right away?

Date of result almost always in October. If one qualifies the written part, it depends on your city and serial number that how much time will you get before medical. It starts with Islamabad mostly so they get only a couple weeks before medical and a couple more before psychological.

Says who?

A person commented on Facebook's post that the result will be announced in November and that Hamood Ranjha told them this. I personally have no idea if the comment is genuine or not.

Well I think it makes you more anxious. But yes it does make the boring waiting period interesting :P

Be it 18th Sept, Oct or Nov, the days leading up to the result will be nerve wracking :D

The title of thread literally gives shivers to the spine to every aspirant who is waiting for the result.

Even CTP has been started in this 3rd week of September this year. Though first 2 weeks of it are online but again it’s the first ever time that the training of previous batch has initiated this soon. Makes me wonder if results of 2020 written part would also be early.. . According to the trend CTP of previous batch and result of current year are approx a week apart only. Let’s see

To be honest, it's good to see CTP being kick started in September. The whole process needs to be efficient and swift.

A good start also would be to reduce the time it takes for the result of the written part. 7-8 months is just atrocious.

They plan to conduct on campus ctp for few weeks in batches. So this might be the reason why ctp is commencing earlier this year.

Which subject is being targeted this year? Asking about Compulsory and Optionals both.

IR-2 and pol sci paper 2 were quite unorthodox this year. Have heard rumours of these papers being slaughtered.

December 2020? Thats just too late. I called Fpsc and they told me to expect it somewhere in mid October. I don't know its already been too late.

I don't think it would be as late as December though, although I am expecting some delays due to COVID19

Where did you get this information?

Islamic Studies, Pakistan Affairs, Criminology, US History..
These subjects are going to be low scoring as per my analysis

BTW can you tell me if css has relative marking or absolute marking?

The subjects that give high score in a particular year are most likely to be proven low scoring in the next year, or vice versa. For example, US History was low scoring in 2018, but it gave a good score in 2019. Similarly, in 2017, P.Ad was low scoring, and in 2018, it was abnormally high scoring. IR, on the other hand, was low scoring in 2017, but yielded good score over all in 2018; however, in 2019, its average again plummeted to 70s and 80s.

P.S: Its just my analysis and i may be completely wrong.

Yes they hit subjects. In my opinion they do it because they need to filter out a mere 200 of 12000. It is not possible without strict marking for some subjects

Does anyone here know that how much candidates actually appeared in ce 2020?

I also received a reply from FPSC by e-mail which said the result is going to be announced in December. But, I wouldn't trust them tbh lol. I doubt the folks that reply to the e-mails know what they are talking about most of the times. A week ago on the phone they said October, so that's that ! :D

They're probably saying December because they aren't sure and don't want the candidates bugging them

Knowing how slow and lethargic the whole process is, I won't be surprised if it's in December for real.
