Well I honestly do not know how to answer that question: personally having cleared css and then not getting allocation, teaches an aspirant way too many lessons, that no one else in life can teach.
But again this is just my personal experience
India also has screening tests, for their prestigious u.p.s.c / i.a.s type civil service exams. But they also give plenty of more attempts ( i think the exact number is 4 or maybe 6, their scheduled castes/tribes, etc get even more attempts
I posted exact information on some other thread (but this is common knowledge that can easily be googled)
The reason for comparison with another country is that since they already have screening test and we didn’t uptill now, then we should also look at what other policies they have for a similarly prestigious examination.

But i did study essay/precis from sir mureed hussain jasra

No , I have a problem I am an introvert and I do not like someone teaching and lecturing me cz i asked too many questions haha. I failed International law and essay.

I read recently somewhere on css-2021 dmc thread here on this forum and i am paraphrasing it , ‘aspirants should have a backup plan in case they are not successful in the 3rd attempt, this is so true’
