News of CSS 2023 result
Does anyone know when we can expect the result of written? I was thinking august. It usually takes 7 months for the result to come out but there were very few people this time, so can we expect it earlier?

I noticed the same this time! I appeared in consecutive exams from 2021 and this year was the lowest turn out ever I've seen. Did you see the same there at your Centre/city as well?
As per FPSC's publication (quarterly reports), 28024 applications were received this year as compared to 32065 last year. How many of them actually appeared in the examination is still unclear, but as 64% of applicants usually appear, my guess is that a total of 17600 might have appeared this year. Last year more than this number has just appeared from Punjab alone.

I highly doubt that. There were half the candidates as compared to previous years and it usually takes 7 months to announce the result.

I have emailed fpsc regarding the result but so far, no response.
Usually, the exams are conducted from mid to late February I guess. And results are announced in Sep-Oct. This year, exam started from 1st of Feb. So, we can expect the result somewhere around August?

Chairman FPSC claimed in his MPT related press conference that they are making CSS (Written, Interview & Allocation) a one year process, i.e., from February 1st to January 31st of the next year. Let's see whether they stay true to their words. Let's see if it is not just another forgotten policy!

FPSC Latest 56th Bulletin has shown that only 13007 candidates out of 28024 registered appeared in CSS-2023 examination with a appearance ratio of 46% only. In 2022, over 20000 appeared in the papers. This year's candidate number is less than CSS exams since 2018.
