The groups have been arranged in alphabetic order therefore, they do not reflect the inter se seniority of the selected candidates. The candidates are being issued appointment letters by the concerned ministry/departments. However, they are advised to report for duty to Director General, Academy for Administrative Training, Lahore on September 21, 1981.

Well it is quite obvious from the allocations that DMG was the top choice back then. Dear where did merit number 9 and 10 fall ? Did they not join ?

yes DMG was at top followed by FSP.

Waisay merit number 9 is in DMG but where went merit number 10??

Was this the 9th common? well i think number 10 has gone missing in this list...since this was FPSC notification mentioning final allocations of the groups , so issue of joining or joining doesnt apply to this situation...

but its interesting to see the trend that top 9 candidates opted for DMG 26 yrs ago...
