When the 37th CTP is expected to start

hello alll plz tell anyone have info regarding CTP

Adil Memon Friday, July 17, 2009 10:05 AM

aqdas,

it's not possible to provide an exact date. it can only be known after the 36th ctp expires on 28th october, 2009.

if we go by the trend... csa undergoes renovation before any batch is admitted. this exercise will take around a month or more. so we may be called anytime during december of january if everything proceeds ideally.

last year, some senior omg officers were called for training in csa. it also delayed the previous ctp. pray anything like this doesn't happen in our turn.

regards,

dear ali akbar,

there's some addition in the information. CSA is reportedly facing issues related to budget and inadequate mess, classroom, hostel facilities etc. at present, i do not know how the administration is going resolve these issues. there is a possibility that the batch may be further delayed. the actual date of commencement of our ctp may be somewhere in March 2010.

until now this is just a rumour. but the logic upon which it is based isn't totally untrue. our batch is a jumbo batch.

so... have fun with your present bosses. :)

CTP may be curtailed

Dear Akbar and Adil,

37th Commmoners may be adjusted in a railwy hostel too situated adjacent to CSA,a friend at CSA 36th common narrated. He also shared another proposal (under active consideration) that CTP may be curtailed to 6 months.Decision in this regard rests with NIPP National Institute of Public Policies.

dear shabbir,

the news you are sharing is quite hope-giving. it makes me more closer to the day i will be wearing my uniform. :)

i don't know if the railways academy will be able to accommodate the surplus of trainees in our batch. however, this is quite practical as the railways academy is in the neighbourhood of csa.

thanks for sharing your piece of information.

regards,

another source from lahore (not authentic) gave it the month of January

Muhammad T S Awan Tuesday, August 04, 2009 09:33 AM

I also heard that CTP will start from January, 2010.

However, there are certain issues; first of all accommodation of many probationers (in words of adil memon it will be a jumbo batch) is a big issue; secondly the authorities at NSPP (National School of Public Policy) are in active interaction with the HEC for evolving curriculla/scheme of studies/credit hours for Master in Public Sector Management/Public Policy.

Said Master degree programme will be formed after merging/integrating of course work studies during CTP and STPs. Probably they intend to launch it from 37th Common. Wait patiently, if they are going to start it thn you people will be able to get a Masters degree after completion of your CTP and STP.
