The top 10 is always a competition between PSP and DMG, with PSP predominating almost every year.

This year however it seems that DMG guys like me, Asif and Ali Asghar might actually have left the PSP wallahs behind in this race!

FSP nearly always comes after merit number 10.

FSP has still a charm but it attracts a specific sort of people, it has an established following but much lesser than DMG and PSP. Generally, people who value lifestyle instead of power et al would prefer FSP over other groups. With the emergence of IRS, FSP is likely to go further down the order. FSP mein aur bhi kafi disadvantages hein. A recently added concern is the declining image of Pakistan and Pakistanis in the world. One of my very good friends from PSP - 37th common, only dumped FSP down the order just because of this concern, he said the idea of working abroad being a "pakistani" diplomat didn't excite him very much. We have lost a lot of respect in the world in recent years, unfortunately.
I personally witnessed, on two different occasions, very senior FSP officers regretting their preference for FSP near the end of their career, with much gloom and cynicism! They had many complaints about it........But despite everything, FSP will never lose its cult following even though it may get lesser.

Dear all,

I wanna ask smthing from mods, CSPs, qualifiers and others....

Ic forum pe bhe or hamari society mein bhe sb log yahan sirf PSP or DMG ki he batein krte hain...
kbhi kbhi koi FSP ko b puch leta hai...
or once in a blue moon IRS k emergence ki baat hoti hai, or kbi customs k zawaal ki...

Kia in groups mein itnaaaa charm hai k all others are like pariah???
I mean PAAS, OMG, MLCG, Railways and Postal...in ki yahan koi baat nahi hoti...

mujhe OMG ya railways join kr k bohaaaaaaat fakhaar ho ga, magar ye above trends mere liye heart-rending hain.

Brother every group has its own charm, and is powerful in its own right. It is a matter of utmost pride if one is able to join any group of the Civil Services of Pakistan. You serve ur country in every group.Yahan sub appne appne groups ki bat kr rhe he na.Ap appne group ki bat shuru kro.
N by the way I have already extended a hand of friendship towards my OMG friendbecause being the son of Government servants,I know the 'Nuisance value' of this group for govt servants
