Default Merit No in Case of Equal Marks ?????

Revered Members,

I have a question to ask.If total marks of two or more than two persons are equal ;then how is merit position decided ? As two people can't have same merit position'what criterion does FPSC employ to award merit in such cases ?

FPSC Rules for CE Section 24 (ii) is as under

When total marks of more than one candidate are equal, the one
who gets more marks in viva voce is treated as higher in merit. If
marks in viva voce are also equal, the one who gets more marks in
compulsory subjects is treated as higher in merit. If marks in
compulsory subjects are also equal the one who is older in age is
treated as higher in merit.

Brother this is Pakistan. And we are not Bani-Israeel. So I think we should stop any further discussion. As the core issue, as per my understanding, is solved.
