Congratulations Sobia. You must be very talented and very lucky to get through such a tough result.

Can you please tell us if you wrote an outline for the essay ? What was the length of your essay?

Also tell us your strategy for Precis and Composition paper. It will be very helpful.

Thanks.

I know INSHALLAH I will cover it by 2015..but i have a problem.i want to put my best in every field of life...so i want to get my ms degree with distinction and also want to clear css exam with distinction...and now i feel that it is not possible to concentrate on both and at the same time to get the desired results..you being concerned with management sciences are an inspiration for me now...but can you help me out about my decision in this regard.......

Miss sobeya ..As per my understanding and what i extracted from your posts is that you know the art of articulating and presenting the paper in the best possible way...Most of the students, having Business education at their credentials do have this quality...Moreover your reading acumen and use of simple but effective English might have helped you a lot in your endeavor...am i right??

Practice for Essay paper. take up different topics and write about them, because people usually run out of material while writing 3000 words on a single topic.
Honestly, I did not read much as I did not get the time in 1 week to read full books about each subjects. I took only one book for each subject and went through the main headings of each chapter and wrote them in my own words in the paper. whatever topic of an subject was not clear, I only read that in detail. but I would not recommend that to you or anyone else. you should read a lot about your subjects, from the books, from the internet, articles, magazines etc and finally mold your material and write it in your own words in the paper strictly according to the question. understand the questions well. they seem to be twisted and tricky but actually they are not.
I hope the answer helped. God Luck!
Had you made the outlines of answers while attempting papers other than essay??

I know it is quite unbelievable but that is 100% true. Luckily this time the papers were very analytic and discussion based, which was very good for me as I have never crammed and I don't know how people do that. So do study for your exams, but don't stick to what is written in the book, While answering arrange your material, all that you learnt for the books, or your experiences, internet and everything else that is in your mind relevant to the question. Well My strategy was simple, to write the answers as elaborately as possible but with the focus on what is being asked. so read each question at least thrice, understand them, before answering jot down what you will be discussing in this answer, all your answers must be divided into 3 main parts (the beginning, discussion of the main idea and finally the wrap up (the conclusion). Also try to keep your paper neat, as it becomes more legible and give headings and sub headings using markers or underlines.
And Most Importantly, the foundation of my confidence and strategy, "Blind Faith in Allah SWT and Blind Faith in Yourself!"
and Also do not despair or be scared at all, attempt with full confidence, Because "Mayous tu Woh ho Jiska Khuda na Ho"
Good Luck to You and All the Aspiring Candidates, In Shaa Allah you will be successful.
(y) way to go lady!! Best of Luck.

Thank You GeeZee for your kind words.

Yes, an Outline is a must for an Essay. My Essay was around 2800-3000 words in length.
No specific strategy. read some tips on this very forum along with a BA English Grammar Book about Precis and Composition and Also what I learnt in English Literature + in College and School came Handy.

do not try to cram anything, just read and clear your concepts about various topics. write them down in your own words in the exams.
