Oh! This is so strange, you should contact FPSC urgently.

It happens almost every year. Due to the inclusion of PSP and FSP in boys' preferences, their preference number for Postal is below than most of the girls' preferences. Thats why girls with lower merit number get allocated in Postal and Boys with higher merit do not get it.
Told by ED person when asked from him after our allocations were announced.

Default Not allocated

May be the one who is selected has kept postal in upper preferences as compared to the preference list of Atif

We all people failed in the very first written exam of CSS, however, Atif managed to pass but he could not be allocated. It is really a BIG jhatka. So, please suggest us what should be the group of preference to be at safe side. It is a lesson for us who are likely to make written exam. Thanks.

I don't think it could be the case. as the respected member is at 194th number so jab inki bari aye hogi to still postal mein vacancy rhti thi and as he wrote he mentioned Postal as well, so even if Postal was his last preference , according to rules he should be given . It is either a big mistake or any other issue such as during interview it might be establish that he is not fit for Postal and Railway group e.g .

and yad aya there is another guy at number 183 in Punjab, who is not given any group .
Whatever the case maybe, it is awkward situation . Brother Atif please contact FPSC and also tell us about their response as it is bit strange for young aspirants like me .

First of all my sympathies for Mr. Atif it is indeed very unfortunate that he couldn't get any group allocated to him despite making it all the way, as far as merit could take him.
The argument presented by Mr. Sheraz or the one presented to him by someone else does not stand because no matter at what number of preference anyone lower on the merit list places any particular group, if a candidate higher on the list has also put it on his list of choices then he must get it before anyone lower on the list, provided that any quota conditions don't come into play. In this particular case if Mr. Atif could not get allocated in any other group of his choice, but still wrote the Postal service be it at the bottom, he should've gotten selected before others who came in 196th & 202nd on the merit list in the provincial quota of Punjab in that service. Even if the said service group was first on their list of choices.
Why he didn't get it is beyond me, perhaps there's some other condition that we are not aware of or may be overlooking. I suggest Mr. Atif to approach the FPSC in person as soon as possible and inquire into this matter. Best of luck to him and us all.
Mr. Atif please keep us posted about any developments.

Merit NO 217 but not allocated

One need to have at least 700 marks in written to get allocation on punjab seats. So just passing wriiten will not confirm your job.

merit NO 219,220 are allocated due to sindh domicile.

i think Atif will have some issues with his security clearence. otherwise there is no other option to mark him "unallocated".

Atif should visit the FPSC in person. wastage of time will put him in denial of allocation.
