That subject need only practice,if you are very good in accounting and you don't manage the timing of question then definitely you are going BANG. Subject is scoring 185 + Out of 200. Course is not very lengthy but you must need little background of accounting and if you don't have background then you must need two things, 1st: passion of high scoring and 2nd: a teacher (auditor level) whose guide you properly.

I had Accounting and Statistics both in my 2013 attempt, and by far they were the easiest papers compared to rest of the optionals.

For Accounting and Auditing Paper 1, study Trial Balance, Income Statement and Balance Sheet for paper 1, along with good concepts of Accounting.

For Accounting and Auditing Paper 2, Study Cost Accounting, Income Tax (Basic), and theories on Auditors' role and responsibilities, Business organisation is very easy part.

For Statistics, study Basic Probability, along with all discrete probability distributions, normal distribution, hypothesis testing, ANOVA and regression/correlation.

Very small course, 2 days enough for each subject.

Apocalypse you are absolutely right, instead of others optional these subjects are high scoring ,Stat imparts 95 out of hundred. Best of luck for css2013 attempt.

I was a student of engineering at NUST but I quit it after four semesters and did private BA after preparing for fifteen days. It was my last paper today. I have to start from the scratch and gotta work real hard for css preparation. Now am looking forward for some serious partners for group study. If anyone is interested kindly let me know!
