I am gradually coming back from the trauma FPSC gave me on 26th of October 2015.
Depth of sorrow and anger in mind restrained me to write anything on the forum after the result despite of being an active member.
I have much to say but ill shorten my experience.

My journey ended on 26th with no plausible results as i became victim of destruction.I started it back in 2013 when i gave the best possible attempt failing preci exam by 4 marks.
After the result i became more enthusiastic leaving no stone unturned i gave 2014 exam and i became target of FPSC,islamiat being the reason.
Till this result i had lost 2 permanent jobs,3 lucrative opportunities and loads of hopes to become what i had dreamed off.
I became jobless and penny less.By hook or crook i got a job but the goal of css exam did not pardoned me.This landed me in 2015 exam.I used to silently prepare for the exam during the 12 hour job routine with psychological stress of not earning "much".
This time FPSC taught me that i do not have writing skills as per their desire.

[U]Critical AnalysisAs per my perceiving)

The exam:
There is nothing bad in the exam itself. 12 papers with 6 compulsory subjects make it an effective yard stick to judge ones caliber and potential.Vastness of syllabus and critical questioning make it an exam of the highest standard.

The Issue:
The problem starts with the checking and marking process/procedure.There is no definite marking theme or set of rules to evaluate a candidate especially in Essay and Composition exam.
Proof :
I cleared Essay exam in 2013 exam when over 90% failed in that particular exam.
I cleared the same in 2014 quite easily.
I cleared PMS essay exam with 60 % marks same year.
The the irony,
Suddenly FPSC realized that i have lost my essay writing skills and i have lost critical thinking ability with no sense of narration.
Why it is so?

The answer is:
FPSC sets instructions to examiners and work on region/quota system to give proper representation to all provinces. They wont mind failing hundreds from the same center in order to compensate the few which they desire. It would not be sarcastic to comment that they may have guideline not to pass more than 20 candidates from Rawalpindi region for instance. The other 700 people may ruin their lives burning their permanent opportunities for the sake of temporary exam.

Lessons Learnt:
1.Meritocracy prevails in CSS but to the extent of mood, mindset, guideline and "subject hitting" tactic of FPSC.
2.The exam is not wholly solely based on how much a candidate prepared but to a larger extent on:
a.The candidates opting that particular subject;
Rule :More the candidates opting that particular subject high will be the marking standard.
b.Syllabus is just an eye wash for some optional subjects like journalism/public administration.
c.Same material that was written for a particular question in previous exam may not fetch similar marks this year.

3.Work hard but pray more.

4.Pray even more if you are from highly urbanized city like lahore,Rawalpindi,Karachi.

5.No one will believe that you have all those set of skills necessary to clear the exam unless you are a pass candidate.

6.Give the exam and leave it on Allah.Utilize every opportunity you get in your life without thinking about the result.

Ending Theme:
I am not dejected neither i will curse FPSC for everything,I am hopeful about other possible opportunities life shall provide me but CSS exam taught me what my leader says:
"Allah nay Insan k hath may sirf niyyat or koshsish rakhi ha kamyabi woh Deta ha"

Advise:
Attempt the exam and give your best but dont ever take it to your heart, you will die.....

PS:Who ever says that CSS exam is free of the Luck factor can freely contact me.ill relate people with examples who took guidance from me and cleared the exam.( May Allah allocate them).

I'm sitting alone today in my room away from my family and cant call my friends to come and visit me because i once neglected them. forget the sense of socializing. i still have one attempt left but unable to gather myself because i afraid of another meaningless and unexpected failure.

I don't know what to do. where to go. but do have a wish that may Allah call my number.

what you people are saying is out of my mind. i only know this that life ends when passion remains unfulfilled. why im sent to this world if im not meant to become a CSP? why the wish of becoming CSP aroused in me and have become a big tree by now if my fate was not to become a CSP?

O'Allah! What you want? Why you have not cleared me? Haven't i asked you enough for you mercy and blessings? If there is something wrong with me, why don't you help me? You are my Allah, my creator like of those whom you have blessed with success.
Focus on improving your expression in English if you do decide to appear again.Practise writing two or three essay every week and get them checked. All the best to you,Insha Allah you will achieve what you desire.

@Futuristic What do you mean by the following?

"b.Syllabus is just an eye wash for some optional subjects like journalism/public administration."

One should give this exam but then must accept whatsoever be the outcome and fate as css is only one of the good career opportunities, there are other fields too. There are endless opportunities and aspects of life and even more for those who discover. The early career stages are formative years in which one can mould oneself and situations for constructing careers which ensure success. The time shouldn‘t be wasted in pessimism.
*CSS preparation is a whole new journey in which everyone gets to learn a lot,in addition to the knowledge of their own fields. Most fpsc general recruitment tests pf BS-17 comprise just mcqs of Pakistan affairs, current affairs, every day science, islamiat and English, those which have attempted css can certainly do much better than others.Even the tests for banks comprise these sections as well as screening tests for other professions also have them in varying amounts. Those which have attempted css will be having enhanced ability of excelling in gre,gat and attempting mcqs of their own field/subject too.
*In job interviews of government sector and banks as well,we often see that people are asked about current affairs, general knowledge and islamiat, whatsoever be the fields.Every css aspirant gets to improve his English language ability when doing preparation. This improves presentation during job interviews as well good communication skills are always appreciated in general in all fields. In that way,its not just giving an exam but grooming, adapting and enhancing ones caliber, abilities and skills to compete better for employment opportunities.
*Through improved know-how attained of current affairs, one can always create a better impact in gatherings.
*It enhances ones capacity for hardwork which is still one of the valuable traits which may also benefits throughout. We can see people around who cherish css jobs but don‘t give it as they cannot imagine themselves working that much hard and are intimadated by the challenges of it,though they would have earned the most difficult of educational degrees. One should be thankful to Allah Almighty for bestowing with the ability for preparing and ultimately appearing for the exam, this surely improves ones stamina and comprehension in general.
*I suppose that hardwork might can mould and change much. Those who couldn‘t qualify can overcome their deficiencies. And may be that if one makes a serious css attempt one year then he only has to build upon and improve his knowledge for the subsequent attempts, which may prove easier with more chances of selection, but exams should be given with due diligence anyways. And papers are differnent everytime. One of the reasons for essay result might be also miscomprehension of the topic‘the war on terror has contributed to the abuse of human rights‘,as the topic required the discussion and arguments on the aftermath and effects of the war on terror on the well being and human rights more than on the war on terror itself.I might be incorrect and others would have opted this way or there might be other factors,it‘s just an opinion. However,if just because of fate a c-e aspirant couldn‘t clear once than he has much chance of clearing in the following attempts. However, there are many more fields, career opportunities in which one may prosper otherwise.
*We can see that css jobs are not that much paying, still people want these opportunities because of status, prestige.Unemployment can also be reason,to much extent, for some as we can see much of majorly unemployed chunck being hired each year in css.Another factor can might be corruption for some.If not, then one can earn good name, national and international level status in science, technology, entrepreneurship, business and all other fields.

It wasn‘t very pleasing to see that much dismay and despondency. One should remember that every end can be a new beginning and that when one door closes, many others open. And that other opportunities can might be better for them as compared with this one,but one can‘t foresee.
