Business Administration is the obvious answer. Other than that, don't worry too much about background. Most people, and most qualifiers rarely have a background in any of their optionals.

There are of course certain specialist subjects for which a background is mandatory such as chemistry and computer science.

Stats,
Mercantile Law,
Business Ad itself

All these can be the relevant subjects

Typical recommended time is 6-8 months.Some people have gotten top 10 merits with 4 months of preparation.
