Css-2017 was my second attempt. In 2016, i failed by 1 mark in precis, got 660 including precis' marks. Point is, I was also expecting better result than previous year as I left my job to focus on CSS. However, it does not mean that by working hard, one gets entitled to be a CSP. My dmc for 2017 is:
Essay 15
Precis 50
Gk 154
Islamiat 36
IR 60
GPP 53
Gender studies 77
Muslim law 25
Anthropology 78

I have also decided to leave CSS, because this was my maximum effort and focus that i could give to it. If you think, you can give more in next attempt then dont quit yet.

how much time anthropology would take to score 80+ .?
Actually i am thinking to switch psychology with anthro,
Your sincere suggestion would be helpful.

All of you who are left with your third attempts, do not lose heart and appear again. CSS is extremely unpredictable and luck-based. IR, Governance and all these other subjects would be pretty scoring next year. Just appear in the exams next year and if it's written for you, you would get it. I personally know people who got 720+ last year. They failed to cross 600 this time around. Some of them even had scores in 520s and 530s. There was nothing wrong with their preparations and effort. It's just that the luck wasn't on their side. Do not lose heart and appear again!

God bless you all!

It was an interesting and easy subject, also both in 2016 and 2017 examiners were good and accepted all arguments. Read Haviland's book (already shared in anthro section) and read related articles from internet especially from Pakistan's perspective.

Thank you for kind and motivating words. Congrats on your success and wish you best of luck for next steps. What were your subjects in 2017?
