All answers to your questions are buried in this forum. You just need to dig out the forum and bring them out.
Hafiz Karim Dad Chugtai's books are also popular w.r.t to Islamiate and English. I'm short of time otherwise I would share even more. http://www.mybooksbank.com/. Visit this website too. |

Well, as far as the guidance is concerned then I solely relied on a few friends of mine and on this forum, in particular. This forum has taught/guided me so much and whenever I get some free time, I help others with their queries. And, I have never been that luck to get any suggestions from any seniors in person, so I only had two options to rely upon which were my friends and this forum. I've been doing preparation off and on for almost a year but now I am quite serious and have planned to appear for CE-18 which is going to be my first attempt. |

My exams went well alhamdulillah and after the last paper i was in a state of contentment. This contentment, at the end of the exams, defines an attempt of every objective aspirant
No online academies. I prepared my own notes with the help of internet and guidance form my seniors who are in CTP and some serving CSPs. This forum helped me a lot. I came to Pakistan and took help from couple of teachers in Lahore for about 2 months and appeared in the exams. My preparation strategy was not conventional because of lack of time and professional reasons. As for academies, i am not a fan of them. That is why i prepared my notes by myself. It helped me a lot. I seldom visit forum on regular basis please try to connect through my email or skype id that is mentioned in my profile. Best wishes. |

As far as my preparation stragety is concerned then i didn't passed css exam in first attempt as i didn't prepare any subject. But now i give second attempt. If i share any stragety here then it doesn't meant that my stragety is not better than those who passed css exam.I don't give css exam only to become so called bureaucrate but its main purpose to get knowledge. Now trend of css exam is changed so prepare subject from whole course.Don't only depends upon past paper. When you prepare whole course then you are also able to solved mcqs.If you only prepare past paper important question then you didn't solved mcqs.Prepare every subject from good book.Don't rely on internet.Examiner didn't only checked opinion but he also check fact and figure that mention in good books.Don't degrade yourself infront of this stupid fpsc. They creates problem for candidates but if any one have good passion to pass css exam then he obviously passed exam despite hurdle.

Looking at your message, my mind immediately went back to August 2016 where I had to kick-off my preparation of CSS-2017. I am an employed engineer in Saudi Arabia, but just like you said, I had some sort of thrust which pushed me to appear in CSS Exams. With regular job, and many other problems, suffered a lot but somehow managed to appear in the exams. 10 out of 12 went exceptionally well. Other than subject selection, books, and notes, I would like to suggest to be persistent, stick to the challenge, no matter whatever challenges might appear. Put your all sincere endevours and rest leave to Allah Almighty. Last but not least, this forum being only mature forum, played a critical role in overall acceleration and at no time my progress was impeded. Please let me know if I can provide any specific information. |

css preparation
yes, one can prepare abroad. academies are not always beneficial. have good guidance from a CSS qualified and then you can buy books. you will find all the books abroad as it is recommended to study foreign authors to score marks.

I too am a doctor and am doing my surgery residency here in pakistan. I can understand what you are going through, i have the same hole:-).....I have a different approach to css, I believe it doesnt matter where you are. You just need access to internet and a good grasp on english. I am thinking about appearing in the 2018 exam. I intend to do all my study without joining any academy or taking lectures from any teachers etc. I dont think there is even a single step in the preparation process that requires your presence in Pakistan. Good luck
