Name difference on CNIC and Degrees

I have applied for CSS 2020, my father name on degrees has additional "Khan" from CNIC, it will create problem in the examination? What if i get it corrected now?

Won't cause problems if your degrees are properly verified from university and duly attested by HEC. I had the same problem as in CNIC, my father's name also includes his pen name (he is a poet and writer) and my degrees are without his pen name. HEC was unwilling to attest my degrees and give me a form to fill and get it signed from my university. I did so and HEC immediately attested my degrees.

I didn't get my degree attested by HEC. I just sent my degree and transcript attested by a government officer as mentioned in the instructions.
Was it necessary for the degrees to specifially have a HEC stamp?

There is difference between attested photocopies of degrees and attested original degrees. FPSC requires photocopies of degrees which are attested by govt officer whereas they will ask for the original degrees duly attested on the back during interview. You should attest the original degrees from HEC in order to avoid problems in future.

Secondly, i applied for CSS with minor name difference on CNIC and degrees, now if i get corrected my documents from board and university. Is it create problem with fpsc, because of already submitted documents to fpsc and corrected documents that i will have afterwards.

For interview of written successful candidates in css, the original degrees are required (during documentation and form submission phase )
However, the original degrees need not to be attested (i am referring to degrees from Pakistani universities only)
Writing this for those who have pakistani uni degrees :)

Its only the photocopies that should attested not the original ones.....
Hope this helps those candidates who have only local (pakistani) degrees

if there is minor difference in father name on CNIC and degree certificates like on CNIC fathet name is Syed Amjad Ali and on Degree Certificates, it is Amjad Ali, then what FPSC recommends?
Change of name on all certificates(which is a very long procedure) or degree attestations???
