The gap between the results and the interviews

The results usually come out in the last two weeks of October whereas the interviews are held in February of the next year. So if, for instance, a candidate clears the written exams in October but is not sure about his/her performance in the exams and wishes to appear for the coming year's written exams, will his/her interview be cancelled? Or will it be business as usual?

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

First interviews are held for quite a long duration, so your exact date of interview might not be coinciding with the upcoming exams.

Also, and more importantly, during the exams days interviews are not conducted. If, in the case that there may be such an event, FPSC will for sure delay your interview if you request them.

So, if you plan to re-appear do so.

I see.

What I meant to ask was whether or not I'd get disqualified in any way or form for reappearing in the exams even after having successfully cleared the written exam and whilst waiting for the interview...

Dear, there is no rule of thumb. There is no complusion for written exam to start in February. However, FPSC is trying to get this date closer to January by shifting exam commencement date 1-week backward for past few years. Irrespective of the date of start of written exam, result declaration of written exam may take 4 to 6 months. Interview phase usually starts one or two months after declaration of the written result and may continue upto 3 to 6 or even more months depending upon the no. of passed candidates. Final result is usually declared within 15 days after the completion of interview phase. After this, Allocations are announced in a month time or so.

So all the process from start of written to announcement of allocations may take more than one year time.

No,you will not be disqualified. There are many CSP's who before clearing the written exam, again appeared in the exam before their commencement of interview. (Example: Rana Abdul Aziz, topper of css 2010).
