1). welllll css is the game of nerves, studies (more broader more beneficial) and certainly HIS will (which we denote from word luck)..... well i often stuck by luck-certainly ALLAH had different designs for me.... i didnt worry at all bcoz i trust on HIM, so my dear fellows keep in ur mind that u may also get failed so make ur nerves strong on very first day of preparation.... by the way my roll number for 2006 was 2157..... Nonetheless, ur trust on Allah and hardwork wil make ur goals/object easy, inshALLAH!

2). zahid khattak brother, foremost advise is to change ur mind and vision...heheheheh .. means try to change way of thinking-though a bit but try to change it.... things are the same, thinking change our atitude towards them so v get different views and make opinion thereon. inshALLAH HE would b helping you out for 2007__ my advise for you is to go for 2007, provided if u dont have any other thing to do.

3). Laila sister (as advised by I M Possible) plz check for the following links http://www.cssforum.com.pk/css-rules.php http://www.cssforum.com.pk/css-syllabus.php . In a nutshell u can opt only one subject from science group i.e. one from zoology, botany, geography, chemistry and phsyics.

4). Qasim brother inshALLAH u would get ur dreams and may ALLAH lead u to work for country men. (as advised by I M Possible) plz try to check for http://www.cssforum.com.pk/beginners-guide.php and http://www.cssforum.com.pk/css-rules.php . waisay 40 % marks and 33 % marks are required to pass compulsory and optional subjcts respectively and one is required to get at least 50 % agregate to go for psychological and interview. The final allocation is, however, made on ur merit position in over all passers vis-a-vis availability of seats reserved for province (region) of ur domicile.

well reading through out
i see one consistent problem and that is english
my uncle's friend passed the CSS exam. i was told he ACED it meaning he was one of the very top candidates
i just want to share this with you that HE COMPLETED THE DICTIONARY 3 OR 4 TIMES
i mean he read and knew most of the words in there and his english is very well
if u r a person who's not used to english much you should consider the dictionary your friend and INSHALLAH ALLAH will reward you
DONT GET DISHEARTED because that is the problem with us we give up easy.. if we try i know pakistani's have the heart and brain to be on top of the world not just pakistan itself

I have not been able to find Dogar's Agriculture MCQs for css/pcs in any bookstore in Islamabad. I have the ones by Emporium Publishers though.

Do you have any idea where I can find the Dogar's one?

Don't know about agriculture, bu most of the books of Emporium are quite reliable. so if you don't find dogar's book, you can consult the book you have and have further assistance from different web resources. it'll be quite helpful indeed.

In Essay "English is usually confused with knowledge". Essay is not the test of knowledge. It is the test of your English. YOu may writhe marvelous on Global Warming metioning everything from CFCs to Ozon depletion metioning all of the ralavent statistics but you may not get good marks If your english is not verbose/ornamental So in Essay concentrate on grammer, spellings, vocabulary, and proper use of idioms not on knowledge in a particular subject. An English professor who checks your paper has noting to do with
e.g. Global worming, poverty, corruption, women rights etc... I guess you got my humble opinion.

well i would just say that "English Essay is a mystery"...but there are some tips and techniques to solve this mystery to some extent...

a)Mostly candidates misunderstand the topic.When they see the topic,the immediate impression thay get about the topic,they start writing abt it..this is the point they miss the track...

b)Wrong english.They try to write very complex sort of english which is really not the requirement.In doing so they make many mistakes.English can be simple but shud be correct.

c)Candidates try to put all the idoms,quotations and verses they know, no matter they are relevant or not...Try to quote those things which are relevant in a very simple manner...
