It is really sad 2 see DMCs of intelligent people who failed in only one subject.
in my psychological test, i was asked about the reforms in css. in my reply, i gave many proposals and one of them was that candidates getting more than 55% in written( present criteria is 50% with all subjects pass) should b allowed 2 proceed further no matter in any subject they fail. on MADAM's ( chief psychologist) querry, i justified my point by saying that we lose many good administrators every year simply coz they could not write one good essay on one day. if a candidate acquires more than 55% in written, we can safely assume that he/ she has enough potential 2 b a civil servant. the whole panel seemed impressed. madam appreciated me on my proposal and said that i ll send it to the concerned deptt. Anyhow, goood luck 2 all of u

Itz really heart-rendering to c the DMCs of such brilliant candidats. They deservd 2 be CSPz....I agree with ihs that the current Result is a big drain on the talentd manpower of the soil which, otherwise, was well-earned for bureaucratic slots.
There is an urgent need to overhaul the FPSC's system of appointments through CSS.All those candidats who cross 600 marks should be considered fit for administrativ dispositions in various capacities. If they fail in just one paper (SAY for example Composition paper), owing to whatevr reason, this does never mean tht they are lacking in required abilities.NO WAY.

I may disagree Irfi.........if relaxation is given in one paper.then the others may also asl for the relaxation in the papers in which they failed........u will find the fellows who passed the composition paper .but failed in the essay.........
So in this way ,if every one is given relaxation .this will not remain exam......u have to search another name for it ......... With regards .TAHIR @marshal...... thank u very much for sharing ur mark sheet with us.......... I was worrying that just in shrt span of 4 months .will it be possible for me to do well in css............ But ur score of 450 in five months give me a new courage........... I am appearing first time in CSS 2008...... thanks Last edited by Mumtaz Hayat Maneka; Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 01:45 AM. |

I agree with Irfi. I would suggest that the assessment criteria should be made less rigid in order to allow those candidates who secure more than 650 marks to appear in interview. This way some justice could be done to those deserving candidates, esp. those who are appearing in their last attempt.

In my view, precis, comprehension and expansion of ideas are considered important for the success of a candidate. The precis has an important place in the paper as it gives an idea abt a candidate's level of writing skills in English.

hi.dr.m.saad here.my marks sheet reveels, assay 55,COMPOSITION 34,EDS 79,PAK AFFAIRS 46,CURRENT AFFAIRS 50,ISLAMIAT 79,ZOOLOGY 123,SOCIOLOGY 76,AMERICAN HISTORY 72,I.R.56,CONSTITUTIONAL LAW 56,TOTAL 726 INCLUDING failed subject.
hi.dr,m.saad here.my roll no.is 3101 as inquired by a coronor is anybody going for litigation against marking of composition paper?it seems preposterous to have secured 726 marks, yet failing in one subject.such a stolidity on the part of FPSC is repremendable.
