CSS 2008 Result: In order of merit?
Dear All,
Keeping in view FPSC cleared 689 candidates this year, a result arranged in order of merit would be really helpful to all the people who cleared the written portion. Those falling towards the lower side can weigh their options and prepare both for the interview and for the written exam 2009 because realistically speaking more than 400 individuals will not be making for the final allocation list. Is there a way to find out what is one' s merit position? Or is there a chance that FPSC might follow this up with a result arranged in order of merit? regards, A.M |

hello....
What you are thinking is nice but i am afriad it wont be of any help. Merit wise result is compiled once the fpsc has conducted all the interviews. The marks obtained by the candidates in the written portion are combined with the marks they obtain in the interview and after that the result is declared. The only way to know your marks will be to find a source in the fpsc who would be willing to tell you about your marks, which is not common. But anything is possible if one tries really hard regards

@haniii
Welcome to the forum. The number of officers's inducted in each group varies every year. The establishment Division is responsible for this. Every year they look into different departments and then they recommend the number of posts to be filled. Regards

@ hanii
In 2007 almost 280 seats were announced. 189 candidates were allocated to different professional grouos while 100 seats were carried over. I m sure this year almost 150 to 200 seats shall be announced plus 100 seats from last year. |
