In my opinion the groups most likely to be affected most by this clause are the ones at the high end of the merit demand spectrum. This flows logically from the fact that of the 684 qualifiers, almost 90% people would have either DMG or PSP or FSP or Customs in their top two choices. Therefore it is much more likely that a candidate who suffers from this clause is someone who might have made it to his/her higher groups on merit/quota, which i have generalized for the majority as above, but ends up not getting them, rather than a candidate opting for the 'less popular' groups, so to speak, being eligible for that group and some how due to suitability ends up with a higher group. Although the same would also hold for the mid tier of groups - demand wise, once the seats in the above groups have been exhausted. All of this is generalizing of course, and with that in mind higher demand/preference groups are more likely to be affected from this. The most unlikely/horrific scenario would be someone not getting anything due to a suitability clause, which i believe is unrealistic to be honest and doesnt have any precedent that i know of. Besides the commission might just have not passed someone likely to end up with such a scenario in the first place. This though is just my opinion. Lets just pray for the best from Allah. |
