Hello people i invite u all to discuss things funny/weired about ur interview or ur blunders.......its not an informative thread bt just to kill time before group allocation is annouced

As i hv started it so i'll go on with my experience first. Although my whole interview was like 1 episode comical drama, i'll share few with u

1st
Fat uncle with glasses: Have u seen MAULA JATT? (punjabi movie)
Me: No sir i haven't seen the movie bt i hv seen its trailor
Fat uncle: What is that long stick called in punjabi which is in the hand of that person? (do remember i had punjabi in my optionals)
Me: Its called GANDASSA
Fat uncle: What is it used for?
Me: I think for showoff
A big smile on everyone's face
Me: No i think for fighting and as a pride symbol

2nd (quite weired)

Gen: What r ur plans about marriage?
Me: Hopefully within next 2 yrs
Gen: So will u then marry my nephew?
Me: Sorry??? (quick response...though i think it wasn't the right way to respond)
Gen: Its not a tough question
Me: Bt the answer is
a big smile.....

3rd (Blunder)
Gen: What r the socio-economic problems of Pakistan?
At the very moment i forgot...yar ye socio-economic problems hotey kya hein
Me: Sir global financial crisis nd recession in market is effecting our economy nd bla bla bla (still thinking social probelms kya hotey hein hmary???)
Gen: OK nd what about social probelms?
Me: (thinking...thinking) pause went a little longer
Gen: Yes?...like poverty
Me: Oh yes poverty, illetracy, unemployment (nd my radio wass on)

4th (Blunder)
Fat uncle: how long was the tenure of 1st US president?
Me: 4 yrs (US history ws my optional sub)
Fat uncle: How many times was the 1st president elcted?
Me: George Bush was elected only once (after saying i realisd Oh My God...wt hv a said?)
Fat uncle: Who?
Me: i mean to say George Washington
Fat uncle: smiling

5th
Fat uncle: who was the president of US at the time of 2nd world war nd how many times he was elected?
I had a very bad habbit of memorizing people nd places with abbreviations
Me: (quickly) FDR nd he was elected for 4 consecutive terms
Fat uncle: what do u mean by FDR?
Me: Oh sorry sir i mean Franklin De Roosevolt
they all startd laughing

6th
Gen: What did u notice at the first sight?
Me: You (nothing else came in my mind at the spot)
Gen: Really? Nd what did u notice in me?
Me: (thinking what to say) Sir i really like the colour of ur tie
nd there i cld see a big smile on Gen sb's face

I have read almost all of the interviews posted by members here but haven't come across any question like your first two questions

Is it normal ? They ask these type of (off-topic) question , or was that just with you ?

Your interview was quite funny but still i would say,
You responses were quick and i am still laughing.
It happens almost in all the interviews i guess; I would like to be suggested.
What in your opinion a person should do when he hasn't got knowledge to speak about a question asked by interviewer.
Saying Sorry here justifies? Though it shows our weaknesses and lesser knowledge.
And the 2nd option is to say "Anything".
Though most of people think it shows the confidence but still, it seems dunce of a person who is asked about A and he gives out a speech about Z.

I entered the room and said Salam to them and then they asked me to be seated. I looked at the seat and observing the distance between chair and table to be inadequate for my 6'2'' posture, I pulled back the seat and then sat down.

Gen Sb (Smiling): Arif Sb kaisay hain?
Me: fine sir.
Gen Sb (Smiling):moral kaisa hay?
Me: high sir.
Gen Sb : why is your moral high???
Me: Sir, it's a big day moral shoold be high
(Me thinking: aray bhai introduction to poochho!!!)
Gen Sb (still Smiling): are u feeing any tesnion or pressure?
Me: No sir.
Gen Sb : why? u said it's a big day, u must be tense or under pressure
Me: Sir, I told u my moral is high, so I am not tense
Gen Sb (Smiling even wider): give me something concrete, are u well prepared?
Me: yes sir I am!
Gen Sb : Tell me what have u prepared?
Me: (ufffff... what to say and what not to say...) Sir current affairs, international affairs....... etc etc...
Gen Sb (interrupting): to aap ki tayyari acchi hay??
Me: Yes sir.
Gen Sb: abhi pata chal jata hay???
Me: (scared to death ... kia pata chala rahay hain sir..!!!)
(And then questions started... and the most awaited introduction question never came)

My case was the other way round.......u won't believe when Gen sb asked me to introduce myself, i completed my introduction within 30 sec (may be because i speak really fast nd i prepared that many times in advance).
Gen looked at me nd said "Is this all u can say"......I felt awkward c'mmon man what else shld i say nd gave him a blank look......Gen sb noticed nd said to go on with intro of my forefathers nd other things, again i completed that in 40 sec...lolzzzzz
this time Gen sb had enough.....so he didn't bother to go with my intro for the 3rd time otherwise it wld be my hetric...lollzzzzz
