DMG as first choice
Hi Dear Ones,
I hope u all will be fine and waiting anxiously, like me, for the final result of the CE 2008. But as it is said that it is better late than never. so keep the fingers crossed and wait for a little while more. InshAllah, we'll soon hear a good news. I'm also among the qualifiers of 2008. I'm from Balochistan. My merit no is 160th and I'm 5th in the Province. My First Choice is DMG. According to my sources, the first four candidates have different choice,i.e. the First has custom, 2nd, FSP, 3rd and 4th have police. So, if it goes according to merit and survives the sword of suitability clause, then I've a reason to hope for the DMG. But Since we are the servants and hence recepients, we'll have to be content with whatever the commission gives out. Umeed pe dunya qaim hai, so do we do it. wishing all the successful candidates a very good luck. Qaisar Nasar

Candidate's personality can make a difference but it is not as much as mentioned by you. Besides, personality includes many traits in addition to the "tall,handsome,brave and good eye sight" things that you referred. I guess all the personality traits matter when the suitability/ unsuitability is considered and the relevant clause is implemented to some candidate. I remember one of the candidates of 2008 was asked in interview such a question about his physique (which, apparently, wasn't the most sought after for police) that why he had preferred PSP having such a build? In reply he adverted some famous police officer having similar figure. (quite witty on his part)  Quote:

brother you are right but i tell you that css is not only a test of knowledge:but also the test of character.you can find it in the prospectus of the css, in which it has clearly mentioned by the fpsc that dynamic personalities will be preffered.the reason why most of the psp officers are not on the criteria : becuse these are the best option of the lot.for example if just eleven candidates could pass the exam from urban sindh than what should fpsc do in this situation?obviously,fpsc will entertain only these eleven candidates.
i agree with you that marks count,but in the organisation like police:physical fitness will definitely play a vital role.
