ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Friday reshuffled almost the entire top brass of bureaucracy, replacing over a dozen federal secretaries and announcing changes in several other ministries by promoting over 50 civil servants to grade-22.

An official announcement said that on the recommendation of the Central Selection Board, the prime minister had ordered promotion and posting of 51 grade-21 officials to the next grade.

Thirty-five of them belong to the DMG and OMG, seven are from police service (PSP), four from Audit and Accounts and five from the Foreign Service.

CONGRATS OMGins, you guys have a great future ahead...shed all fears of sluggish promotion and perks and privileges becoz u guys gonna be the next top brass of civil bureaucracy later in your careers.

but can u find out how many of them were omg in ts 35.
also an omg told me that at the moment there are 58 additional sect from omg in federal bureaucracy.

Brother i only know that OMG has a 40 percent share in
grade 19, 30 per cent in 20 and 20 per cent each in grade 21 and 22.

Dear i don't know why you are accepting the negative influence of the people who know almost nothing about this group.

I want to share a simple fact that

Mr. Tariq Bukhari (hope u remember the health member of interview panel wearing glasses) remained establishment secretary for almost 6 to 7 years. In bureaucratic circles he was known to be the "Mother of all bureaucracy". Can anyone guess from which group he hailed???

Moreover, I advise all the members of this forum not to indulge in the futile debate as to which group is the most powerful & which is not. We must remember that before the result was announced every one was praying just to get allocation only & finally once the groups are announced now every one is debating over the supremacy of his/her group. We all worked very hard but the final outcome is influenced by God's Will. We must submit our will to Almighty's Will.

Finally yet importantly, if anyone gets a better opportunity in future or he/she has a chance to further appear in CSS exams, i strongly recommend to go for it. One must test his/her potential thoroughly in order to remove the notion from the head that he/she is more competent & deserves much better group then what is actually at hand. "A Bird in hand is better than two in the bush" Now don't say that "you neither have a bird in hand nor have a bush"

i think of the total promoted officers to grade 22 , around 16 seem to be from OMG

fellow omgians,
today in daily mashriq it is given that 41 persons have been given omg training in sti and hav been permanently appointed in omg group.
now the point is that omg hav not been there for the past 9years so how come some guys who havent qualified css been given training in sti and then permanently appointed as omgs.
it will definitely hav some political aspects as these will be some political cronies and what will be its effect on our merit and seniority.

no effect on u people's promotion in the long run as all of them are promotees(I'll not use the word 'rankers' as it may be offensive) . to the best of my knowledge a huge percentage of these new inductees is quite aged( it's always the case as they have a considerable length of service in lower grades before their induction into OMG). so all OMGians chill out Yar.

what was given in the newspaper was that some people who have been appointed on adhoc basis after completion of their training at STI hav been made permanent in OMG group which i thnk is highly injustice wid us,isnt it coz they'll be in front of us without even passing css.

I called establishment division today and they said that OMG and POSTAL are the pnly groups which have not been issued appointment letters. But hopefully letters will be issued after 8-10 days. So cheer up guys
