@Zeee,,,,thanx fr ur detailed description abt the group....Due to All Pakistan Unified Grades (APUG) as was done by ZA Bhotto in 1973, gives same promotional and career opportunities to all groups (basically it broke the monopoly of dmg erstwhile csp) . So it all depends on the capabilities of a person to achieve hights of civil services remaining in his/ her own group. ........its the thing tht really makes the difference. well i m very happy with my group n wish u all the same.

Brother plz refresh your knowlege and concept regarding PMS
PMS(Provincial Mangement Service) is not new name of PUnjab Public Service Commsion rather its a new service established first in Punjab and afterwards in other provinces.PMS has replaced PCS(Provincial Civil Services).Punjab Public Service Commsion in Punjab is empowered for recruitment in this service.PMS is just like a group/Service as groups /services of CSS.

PMS Officers may be posted both in secretariat and field.In secretariat they work as SO while at field they are deputed as DDO/TMO/Special Judical Megestrate/Assistant Director Anti Corruption etc.


PMS officers may be appointed only at the above mentioned posts.They are Grade 17 officers while Post of Tehsildar is in BPS16.Morever they can neither be posted in Jail (Except SO Prisons) nor in Excise and Taxation Department.

Civil Judges are recruited through PCS(Judical ) and they have nothing to do with PMS.

I would like to clear a misperception.The exam conducted by PPSC in June this year was not PMS exam rather it was a Combined Competitive Exam held for various posts(almost in six departments) including PMS.Services of PMS officers are governed by S&GAD while the other officers reports to their respective departments.

I hope it make you understand the structure of PMS.

Thankyou asif for remembering me and i salute for ur complimenting remarks.
Actually, i was somewhat disappointed from forum members as reply was seldomly given esp at PAAS thread. Otherwise, u can not imagine the extent of my likeness and sincerity towards all of my batchmates.
Hope all of us will continue the threads moving,as most of the exclusive threads are still lying dormant. i dont know why?

Thanks for the post. u r right, if some1 cant get to yr point then better leave the point n ask about weather etc which is always a neutral thing to do. u seem to be well versed in conversation which is the result of study of literature and despite that u dont thank its study.. lolz. hey forgive me for such pinching stuf but its ma bad habit to keep pinching the ones who i really wanna hear and share with.. don mind. if u do, then ..... then.... then... yes, then ask me stop it. yes. simple.. i quote u,

(oooops, sorry) mmmmmmmmmmbut i really enjoyed with kids by teaching 'm and by observing thier little stupid complaints bout broken pens pencils n dirty cloths etc.

Thanks for refreshing my concepts regarding PMS. It has indeed added variety to my Knowledge. Actually the concept of PMS is gaining momentum to every Tom, Dick and Harry so, one is least bothered about PPSC exam. Majority of the students have a common say, and that is PMS exam. You are right the exam held in the month of june were titled as Combined Competitive Exam but you can see the word PMS also mentioned in question paper.
