@dr.ali.zaidi
I was not justifying the allocation I was just quoting the rule. They should be barred or they should compete on merit seats with others. But it is not that simple! |

I like 'Our children will break the stones or live in the caves but will challenge the hegemony of Army'
The cornflakes to housing schemes scenario has been mentioned repeatedly by many people like Ayesha Siddiqa along with excessive retirement benefits. I admire their role in defending our borders (and fighting till death without surrendering sometimes) but that doesn't entitle them to perform the 'Gulistan-Lahu' procedure on the talented civilian lot.

People of Balochistan are very generous and there are always in position of giving to others not accepting alms. Six percent quota is not a grant from Punjab or other province rather it is the right of the province and it is useless to discuss it because quota system is universally accepted in a Federation and it exists till the existence of federation. So, demand for the abolition of quota system will be insanity and immature move. It is prevalent in USA, India and all the federations of the world in shape of distribution of seats for Parliament and other services.

@all
salam.i belong to punjab.i support quota system.CSS gives us an opportunity at federal level to compete and accommodate as well.so,the raging debate howsoever rational should consider the rationale underpinning the need of quota system. competition in punjab is always very tough.its high time that candidates of punjab shore up efforts to achieve desired groups. |

candidates from punjab are often seen talking against the quota system because they do not have the balls to compete with other candidates of their province

But does our consent make any difference Its not a matter of balls bro... if we had been in their place most of us would have been thinking on the same lines. Its just that today its them and tomorrow it might be us. However one thing is for sure... balls to sab ko equal hain Last edited by Andrew Dufresne; Sunday, August 01, 2010 at 02:14 AM.
